Our Community
Diagnosis, planning and action in the territory

Welcome
Before initiating any intervention, it was necessary to deeply understand the reality of the community.
We visited the area and the families to learn about the population's health status, the climate, their available resources, the most marked deficiencies, and the exact point where we could contribute significantly.
The goal was not just to help, but to do so responsibly.
A plot of land to build the future
The first step was to find the right place, with a balance between need and untapped resources. We identified a strategic area that would allow us to expand aid and establish a solid foundation for the development of the project in the community.
Today we have:
10,000 m2 donated to the center
This donation, made by Costa Rica Away, marked a crucial stage of the project.
Having our own land made it possible to organize the work of volunteers, facilitate the arrival of children and families, and begin to build a real and sustainable structure within the community.
This space not only represents land, but also the formal beginning of the project and the possibility of long-term growth.
The reality of the numbers
More than 250 families without access to drinking water.
More than 400 children in unsanitary conditions.
More than 1000 people without access to adequate food.
This data marked the beginning of our work in Kahuroko.
