INAUGURATION OF THE WATER SYSTEM AND COMMUNITY DAY
Kahuroko - 2026
On January 24, 2026, we officially inaugurated the water system in the community of Kahuroko. That same day, we held the first community event, including a family census and basic health checks, marking the beginning of a new phase based on planning and data.

Official launch of the water system
On this day, the community gathered around the new 90-meter-deep well, a source designed to provide safer and more consistent water.
For years, families relied on shallow, hand-dug wells, and others walked long distances to collect water that was not always clean and could run out during the dry season.
The moment the water began to flow marked a concrete change: a more stable source for the community.
For many families, it means less time spent searching for water and greater stability in their daily routine.

First community census
Empower
Growth
During the day, each family was registered in an organized and systematic manner.
Information was collected on family composition, number of members, general conditions and basic health aspects.
This process allows us to understand the reality of the community more clearly, prioritize needs, and plan future interventions based on concrete data.
The census marks the beginning of a stage where decisions are made with real information and continuous monitoring.

Basic health checks
As part of the community day, basic checks were carried out to identify possible risk factors within the community.
Vital signs such as blood pressure were taken and cases requiring further follow-up were recorded.
The objective was not to replace formal medical care, but to obtain a first approximation of the general state of health and detect priority situations.
This step allows us to plan future interventions with greater focus and responsibility.
Community food
As part of the gathering, food was shared with the families present.
This space allowed us to close the day in community, after a day focused on organization, diagnosis and planning.
Sharing is also part of the collaborative work process.
